Welcome to my new book art blog! I was a librarian for 24 years, and have planned and led many, many craft classes for all ages. Some of my favorites combine love of books and my love of crafts. "A librarian," you might say, "who desecrates a book to make a craft? How horrible!" Only people who have never been a librarian would say this. Librarians know that books have a life cycle; they are created, they have a period of use, and then they are discarded. I think of making used books into crafts as a way to give them a pleasant retirement (as compared to the recycle bin).
