This is just a shout out to my in-laws who gave me this cute plaque in honor of my retirement from my career as a librarian.
The inscription on it is absolutely correct. I am proud to be a Book Nerd. I loved my career as a librarian. I loved the books, I loved the patrons, and I loved doing hundreds of craft programs for all ages. What's more, I felt like I was doing something really valuable to the world. My son once said that I was a Librarian with a capital "L." He is right. I may not be working at a library any more, but in my heart I will always be a librarian.
