I really have been having to much fun with this. I have gotten so I can cover a journal in about 15 minutes. I have now covered all of the original six that was in the pack I bought from Amazon, plus a journal I had bought at a thrift story and never used because I didn't like the cover. The second one I decorated I decided to paint by hand. I have never really painted on cloth before and it was challenging to get the stems and leaves to paint on smoothly. Still, I was happy with how it turned out and gave it to a friend for her birthday.
I know that I could enjoy painting more journals by hand, but I don't think I can expect a class of crafters to hand paint their newly covered journals and all be happy with what they end up with.
